In order to strictly implement the 'Five-Item Management' work in terms of homework, sleep, mobile phones, reading and health for primary and secondary school students initiated by the Ministry of Education, Provincial Department of Education and Municipal Bureau of Education and Sports, implement the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtue and realize the comprehensive promotion of students' physical and mental health growth, on the afternoon of June 11th, Anqing Foreign Language School's Junior High Department of the west campus held the implementation and promotion work meeting of ‘Five-Item Management for Primary and Secondary School Students’ in the lecture hall, which was presided over by Principal Assistant Hu Qilin and attended by all the faculty and staff from the west campus.
Specifically, at the meeting, Principal Assistant Hu Qilin conveyed the work notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Education on the ‘Five-Item Management’, made a comprehensive interpretation of the notice content, and put forward the specific ideas in regard to the implementation of the ‘Five-Item Management’ in combination with the actual situation of the school: with the healthy growth of students as the goal, we will see to it that mobile phone management will be included in the school's daily management. What's more, we will strengthen the supervision of students' sleep monitoring, standardize the management of extracurricular reading materials on campus, improve the homework management mechanism, and make the five-item management work institutionalized, systematic and normalized.
Furthermore, Principal Assistant Hu Qilin pointed out that strengthening the management of homework, sleep, mobile phones, extracurricular reading materials and physical fitness was a major event related to the healthy growth and all-round development of students, which is the long-term expectation of the society, parents and students as well. Therefore, all the faculty and staff must unify their thinking, raise awareness, and accurately understand the importance of the ‘Five-Item Management’ work, optimize the work plan, and figure out innovative work methods to ensure the full implementation of the ‘Five-Item Management’ work.
In conclusion, this special meeting enabled each teacher to pay more attention to the ‘Five-Item Management’ provisions, which is also a further standardization of the school's daily education and teaching management. In addition, Anqing Foreign Language School will conscientiously implement the detailed rules in the future work, follow the rules of education, and stick to the original intention of education to escort the all-round development of students.
